Self Portrait on Black Paper

Creating my first official self portrait while working with a medium I was completely unfamiliar with proved most challenging. From changing references to technical challenges with the chalk I created an image that showcase my ability to work through unfamiliar territory. Working to primarily show the light and shadows of the peice allows for an alternative approach to the self portrait.
