Surrealism Graphite Landscape

Featuring a seaside landscape, this graphite peice looks to juxtapose our expectations. It is up to the viewer what they see first, is it the background or the tinned fish? When creating this peice I wanted to leave it up the my audience to shape their own experience. When working with graphite I had to develop an awareness of how I format my art to reduce smudging, this then helped me on future projects.
